The Far Eastern Library is a reference and research library for archaeology, art, cultural history and the history of Asia with emphasis on the museum's main collection areas, in particular East Asia. The library book stock includes important reference works on East Asian languages such as Chinese and is one of the leading libraries in northern Europe in terms of Sinology from a historical perspective. In Sweden, the Far Eastern Library is the foremost principal library on Chinese art history and archaeology. Its total book stock comprises around 100,000 titles.
